Carin Palsrok-Lilly is an Artist, Photographer and Educator based in Burlington, VT. She has spend two decades as a teacher and practicing artist, both in the fine arts and practical arts realm. Her upbringing spanned continents and cultures, and since her teenage years she has grappled with her identity and roles in relationship to cultures, community, and the natural world. She considers her body of work a decades long exploration of how cultures define values and significance, how these cultural definitions include women and their roles, and how we interact with these definitions for defining our own identities, build community, and interact with the natural world.
